Sauteéd Garlic Spinach

Here is a great spinach recipe that might even get your kids excited!

  • One 6oz package baby spinach
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 1 tbsp fine chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp red wine
  • pinch of salt (to taste)
  • pinch of black pepper (to taste)
  1. Over medium high heat, combine the butter and olive oil (Pro tip – the olive oil prevents the butter from burning at high temperatures)
  2. When the butter melts and starts to simmer, add the garlic.
  3. After about one minute, when the garlic just begins to cook, add the wine and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add the spinach and sauté until wilted. Top with salt and pepper to taste and serve hot.
